A spokesman for the ‘Hero’ singer has denied the reports after the crooner sparked pregnancy speculation at the Independent Spirit Awards in Los Angeles on Friday.

“I have a lot of new acting projects coming up… But there’s also something else very special on the way. I can’t say any more,” the Daily Star quoted her as telling reporters.

Carey then fuelled the rumours when she reportedly refused to drink at an after party, reports the Daily Star.

However, talking to GossipCop.com, a spokesperson for the pop star has dismissed the speculation, saying there’s “no truth” to the pregnancy reports.

The couple is rumoured to have been dating since working on ‘The Last Song’ over the summer appearing on the E! pre-Oscar show Sunday night, Cyrus, who has been spotted locking lips and holding hands with Hemsworth, finally admitted to the relationship.

When asked if she and Hemsworth are dating, the 17-year-old singer-actress replied, “Yes.”

However, the ‘Hannah Montana’ star was less enthusiastic about answering whether she’s in love.

“Maybe,” is all she said, reports the New York Daily News.

The actress took home the Best Actress award for her role in ‘The Blind Side’.

“I just want to eat! I just want to sit down and take my shoes off, and take my dress off, and eat a burger - and not worry that my dress is going to bust open,” News.com.au quoted her as saying.

She added: “Sorry that’s all I can give you, but I just want to eat! And take a nap.”

In a lawsuit today, Dannez Hunter claims that he sent in a treatment to Miramax back in 1999, about a fictional character named Ren, which was turned into Kill Bill, reports TMZ.

Essentially, the suit alleges that Miramax, Harvey Weinstein and Tarantino stole his idea, including the “concept/character name Ren.”

He even specifically mentions ‘Ren’ witnessing his mother’s gruesome murder, knife in the gut and all.

Hunter, who is from the “inner city,” also alleges that he applied for a job at Miramax but “was never given a return phone call, as numerous similar situated less qualified Jewish and White people were bestowed job after job after job.”

Hunter wants over a million dollars in payments.

The rap star is scheduled to be sentenced Monday to a year in city jail. He pleaded guilty in October to attempted criminal possession of a weapon. He admitted illegally having a loaded gun on his tour bus in July 2007.

His sentencing was initially pushed back from Feb. 9 so he could have surgery on his bejeweled teeth. It was postponed again last week when a fire shut down Manhattan’s main criminal courthouse while he was on his way there.

Lil Wayne has been one of rap’s most prolific and profitable figures in recent years. His “Tha Carter III” was the best-selling album of 2008.

Publicist Alan Nierob says the service for Michael Bryan will be held Monday in a Mormon chapel near the Provo, Utah, temple. The service is private.

Police in Los Angeles have said Bryan died from an apparent suicide after jumping from the eighth floor of an apartment building on Feb. 26. An official cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy and toxicology tests.

One of five children adopted by Osmond, Bryan previously used his adoptive father’s last name, Blosil. Records from Utah’s 4th District Court, however, show a judge had granted the teen a petition for a legal name change.

Osmond and Brian Blosil divorced in 2007 after two decades of marriage.

This year there are 10 movies nominated for Best Picture of the Year. In the past, only 5 movies were given this honor.  In addition, there’s a lot of controversy over if the Hurt Locker will stand a chance of winning this award.  Roger Ebert thinks it will, while the producer sent an email to Academy Award voters claiming to have a better movie than Avatar.

Sandra Bullock is also up for an award for her role in “The Blindside.”  This story is based on a true story which happened in Memphis, Tennessee.

Twilight fans may be a little disappointed that their favourite vampires and werewolves aren’t nominated for awards.  The disappointment will be short lived, as the new “Twilight” movie is due out later this year.

Other exciting movies nominated for multiple awards include Precious, Inglorious Basterds, District 9, and Avatar.  There is a movie for every taste featured on the list.

Other than Sandra Bullock, Jeff Bridges, Jeremy Renner, Morgan Freeman, Mo’nique, and Maggie Gyllenhaal are all among those nominated for awards for performances in various movies.

Gaga, 23, real name Stefani Germanotta, was awarded for Best Newcomer, Best International Rock or Pop Act, and Hit Of The Year for Poker Face, but she was not present to pick up the trophies at the event on March 4, reports the Daily Star.

Other winners included Depeche Mode, who landed the title of Best International Pop/Rock Group, and Robbie Williams who received his seventh Echo Award after he was named Best International Pop Artist.

Rock band Silbermond and hip-hop artist Jan Delay were also honoured at the German Phonographic Academy’s ceremony, while reggae/rap artist Peter Fox landed the coveted Best Album award for Stadtaffe.
