The Harry Potter star beat Sarah Jessica Parker into 2nd place in Vanity Fair’s compilation of Tinseltown’s top earners for 2009.
Down-to-earth Emma is estimated to have been paid £20 million for the final two Harry Potter movies - £5 million less than co-star Daniel Radcliffe, who has been investing in property.
So has Emma splashed her cash on designer clothes and luxury holidays or bought up half of Manhattan?
‘I really don’t have time to spend my money,’ she has admitted. ‘I had no idea of the scale of the film series. If I had I would have been completely overwhelmed.’
Emma is currently studying literature at Brown University in America and has recently launched her own clothing range for ethical fashion label People Tree.
